Warriors DOMINATE Celtics, Win 7th NBA Title

It’s over. The Golden State Warriors are the 2021/22 NBA Champions. This win brings them their 7th title overall, and this current Warriors dynasty’s 4th title. And, boy, did they win this title convincingly.

After going down 2-1 in a disappointing Game 3 loss, the Warrior won the next three straight games, with two of them being in Boston. Carried by Steph Curry, the Warriors never looked back as they destroyed a naïve, young Celtics team to win the coveted 4th title of the current dynasty. The losses to LeBron James’ 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers and Kawhi Leonard’s 2019 Toronto Raptors have been fully rectified with this win over the Celtics.

Without any doubt, this Warriors’ dynasty is one of the greatest NBA teams of all time.

After going down by 14 points very early on in the 1st quarter, it seemed as though the Celtics would be able to stop the Warriors’ onslaught, if only for a game, to force a Game 7 back at the Chase Center. Even when the Celtics lead was shrunken to a tenuous 4 points, there was still hope around TD Garden that if they could take the lead into half, the game was there to be won.

But that was not to be. Steph Curry put back on his blue-and-gold superman cap, after a bad Game 5, to score 34 and further cement his legacy as an all-time great. But he was not the only Warrior to have a great game. Actually, every Warrior who played tonight had either their best or second-best game of the series. They were that good and dominant.

But it was Steph Curry, once again, to will on the Warriors to a series clinging win. His 34 points helped the Warriors outscore the Celtics by 33 points after Boston’s early two-minute surge to go into half time with 54-39 lead. And that was that. Celtics could never recover from the double-digit lead.

In truth, it really was not a great game to watch. There was very little doubt as to who was going to win after the first five minutes of the 1st quarter, there was over 30 turnovers in the game, and both teams shot below 43% from the field.

Nevertheless, the Warriors were by far the superior of the teams and were the well-deserved 75th champion of the NBA.
