What Is Antonio Brown Doing?!?

Antonio Brown really has lost it. From being the greatest wide receiver in the NFL back in 2016 to now rapping and doing some weird dance at Rolling Loud in 2022, there really hasn’t been a worse fall-from-grace story.

I don’t know where to start with this guy anymore. AB is arguably the most talented wide receiver in the NFL still, despite all of the nonsense that has surrounded him. And at only 34 years of age, he still has another 3-4 years of good football left in him if he wanted to play again.

Sadly, he has chosen to waste his talents by pursuing a middling/low-tier rap career that has the world laughing at him. I’m sorry to say this but how does AB think he is ever going to be one of the great rappers. 50% of what the guy says, tweets, posts, etc. barely makes sense.

Now, I’m not trying to insult his intelligence or his manner of speaking as that wouldn’t be right of me. Nevertheless, I am saying that you need to make a little sense in the songs you are putting out. I’m not rap expert, but I’m able to understand what Snoop Dog, Kayne West, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Eminem, etc. are saying and the meaning behind their songs. And I know those guys are great and experts in rap.

From the clip I saw from Saints cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s twitter account above, I can’t make out a single thing AB said. I’m not even sure the guys on stage with him knew what he was saying. Clearly, they didn’t coordinate stage positing before performing as they narrowly avoided knocking each other over on multiple instances in that clip.

Would Snoop or Jay-Z really want to get Antonio Brown on one of their songs as a feature? I can’t speak for them, but I would have to guess they wouldn’t.

Still, I like seeing former athletes try new things, such as when Kobe Byrant made an Academy Award winning documentary and how The Rock has become a world-famous actor. But rapping really doesn’t suit AB. He’s still a great football player that can produce as #1 WR in the NFL. He did rack in over 10 receptions and 101 yards against the Carolina Panthers in his last official game in the NFL (I’m not counting that NYJ game as his last official game as he only played a quarter or two).

Coming from a former fan of AB (back before all of this stupidity), I don’t want the last moments of his playing career to be wasted with laughable rap features. It’s sad enough to see how far he has fallen.
