The NFL Is In HUGE Trouble…

The NFL’s House of Cards is falling apart before our very eyes. The DC Attorney General’s has announced that they are not only suing Commanders Owner Daniel Snyder, but they are also implicating the NFL and Roger Goodell into their investigation.

The hierarchy of the NFL is in huge trouble. It seems that the NFL’s covered-up investigation into the Commanders and Daniel Snyder’s toxic workplace will end up biting them after all as the District of Columbia’s Attorney General, Karl Racine, has announced that he is formally suing Snyder, the NFL, the Washington Commanders, and Roger Goodell for colluding to deceive the DC residents about the results of said investigation.

It’s always one thing or another with this guy. Whether it’s him having secret, compromising dossiers on the other 31 NFL owners, stealing money from the NFL and the Commanders fans, or investigations into a toxic workplace of his own making, Dan Snyder is always doing something nefarious.

He’s honestly one of the most deceitful and treacherous people (in my humble opinion) to ever be involved in professional sports, which is saying a lot when you look back to the owners/league officials of all of the four major North American spirts down the years. And, yes, I’m including guys like Harold Ballard (Toronto Maple Leafs fans will revile in disgust at that name) and James Dolan, who needs no introduction.

This latest story isn’t even surprising anymore, though it is a little strange seeing Goodell and the whole league implicated too. Are you really telling me the NFL would ever do something/cover up something illegal/nefarious? Obviously, we’d all suspect Snyder and his cronies in the Commanders organization to be involved in a cover-up of immoral/illegal activity, but Roger Goodell too? I can’t believe it.

Such a kind, compassionate, and not greedy at all saint, which Goodell is most certainly, could never hide the findings of an extremely important and high-profile investigation and then lie to millions of fans about said investigation just to save his own skin. Goodell would never do that.

I mean, ‘good’ is in his name! It is impossible to believe that he could act otherwise.

If you already couldn’t tell, that’s sarcasm.

Of course, Goodell is implicated in this as Snyder has the most dirt on him. What other league in North American professional sports (at least in the modern era) would have allowed such an egregiously toxic, harmful pariah, which Snyder is, to not only stay on as an owner of one of the most historic teams in said league, but also be an active part in said team’s daily management?

I know Goodell is supposed to represent the owners and their interests, but he’s gone way too far with Snyder. He’s practically bent over backwards to appease the Pariah in all of the guy’s many scandals. And there has been many.

No other commissioner or league would have allowed Snyder to thrive as much as Goodell has if the Commanders owner doesn’t actually have any dirt on him. That’s the only explanation I can think of as to why Goodell would be so appeasing towards such an unlikeable figure.

Unlike the NFL, the NBA actually removes its troubled owners. Robert Sarver and Donald Sterling were immediately and rightfully bombarded with criticisms and complaints, which eventually forced them to sell their teams. And one of the chief critics was always NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. You didn’t see him try to cover-up workplace investigations into Sarver’s Suns or disregard the racists comments that Sterling made while he was the owner of the Clippers.

Only Roger Goodell does that.

But maybe that will change with this lawsuit and the one that Jon Gruden is bringing against the NFL.

One can only dream.
