How is James Gunn allowing Ezra Miller to comeback but getting rid of Henry Cavil, Jason Momoa Ray Fisher, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot? Out of all the turmoil and insanity going on at DC, it is reported that James Gunn is OPEN to allowing Ezra Miller to RETURN as The Flash!
I was fully supporting James Gunn and his overhaul of the DC Universe, but this is a step way too far for me to cross.
Out of all the major actors from the DCEU, how is Ezra Miller the one to survive the Gunn purge and retain his huge role as The Flash. Hasn’t Gunn heard about the stuff that Miller has gotten up to ever since the last Justice League movie came out?
I don’t want to go over all of that, but I think it is safe to say that Miller is not the guy you want being one of the faces of your new DC franchise. I mean, I don’t want to see a person who has been caught on video and accused multiple times of beating women, accused of being inappropriate with minors, charged with the “offense of felony burglary into an unoccupied building”, and is just an overall weird guy portraying a superhero that is supposed to be a role model for kids.
Call me crazy but having one of the most problematic and off the rails actors in Hollywood today being a leading man in a franchise desperate for success is asking for drama and failure. It is just baffling that Gunn is even willing to think about this step, yet he has been ruthless in axing proven stars in Henry Cavil, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Gal Gadot, and Ben Affleck.
Sure, these actors and their iterations of the famous characters they play might be tainted from the failure of the DCEU, but they are a hell of a lot more marketable and frankly easier to work with than Miller. Affleck is an Academy Award winning writer/producer and a Golden Globe nominated actor, Cavil and Momoa are two of the biggest movie stars in the world today, and Gadot and Fisher were revolutionary in their on-screen roles.
In my humble (and honestly correct) opinion in this matter, Ezra Miller is the most expendable actor/actress out of all these people. And he NEEDS to be kicked out of the role as soon as this latest Flash movie comes out.
I’m really hoping this news is just tabloid nonsense meant to cast more aspersions on Warner Bros., DC, and Gunn, but with Miller’s The Flash movie being moved up to June 2023, I’m getting really worried that Gunn is about to shoot himself, DC, and Warner Bros. in the foot with one of the worst casting choices in recent memory.
Hell, if this casting decision is made, you might as well get ready for Amber Heard to get her own standalone Mera movie.
Yeah, this Miller news is that bad.
