Resident Evil 4 Remake Is Going To Be AMAZING!

Resident Evil 4 Remake Is Going To Be AMAZING! (Capcom-Resident Evil 4 Remake-3rd Trailer)

This might very well be one of the best Resident Evil games ever…again. Capcom has unveiled some new Resident Evil 4 Remake gameplay footage to the major gaming media outlets and creators, and I have to say that it looks unbelievably great.

Capcom has really outdone themselves with the effort they put into this remake.

They could have easily of cashed in on the iconic Resident Evi brand and success of the original Resident Evil 4 (which is one of the greatest games of all-time) by just providing a polished, updated graphical, UI, and gameplay rendition of Resident Evil 4 that added nothing new to the OG game.

And, to be honest, I’d be perfectly fine with that as it not only is in line with how most game studios treat their older games, but the original game is also one of the best ever made.

It didn’t really need any additions or improvements…which is why Capcom’s showcased updates are absolutely incredible.

In the limited articles and videos I’ve watched so far covering the new gameplay footage (obviously, I wasn’t one of the major outlets or creators who got an advanced showing), there have been some MASSIVE improvement to the graphics, Leon’s combat skillset, gameplay, customization, weapons, side characters, side quests (yes, you read that right), and boss fights.

Now, I don’t want to just blatantly rip off what some of these media outlets have said about the game (I’ve linked some below so you can see all the new additions for yourself), but I will say that some of my favorite additions have to be Leon’s new parrying system (Leon can literally parry any enemy attack in the game with his trusty knife now), the incredible detail the new graphics give to Leon, Ashley, the cultist enemies, and the Spanish frontier, the new side quests system introduced, and changes to combat and fighting styles.

Though, if I had to pick one, it’d be the new and improved combat system.

Not only can you now block and parry enemies while also being able to switch back and forth between a firearm (ex: handgun, shotgun, rifle, and even the cannons during the castle scenes), but it is also possible to take different approaches to combat.

Capcom has introduced a completely new stealth system that allows Leon and Ashley, who serves more like a semi-follower in this game than the OG, to sneak around Valdelobos and take out enemies one by one (as a D.S.O. agent most likely would do in that situation), while it is still possible to just blast through the cultists in their attempt to escape.

Obviously, the new graphics make everyone look amazing and extremely polished, the new side quests should add many more hours of gameplay and discovery, and the ability to customize Leon’s attache case should be awesome, but the level of detail and dedication Capcom has put into a remake that really could have been half-assed is what has impressed me above all.

So, I’m giving it up to Capcom as they have completely exceeded my expectations for this remake in the brief trailers and gameplay releases thus far.

I just hope the game is as great as it is shaping up to be.
