Cristiano Ronaldo Is Going SCORTCHED EARTH On United…

Well, we finally got that explosive interview Ronaldo promised back in August. Cristiano Ronaldo has come out with an utterly scathing interview with Piers Morgan as he lambasted everything that has gone wrong with United, including the board, the facilities, and the upper management.

I must say that I didn’t realize that Cristiano Ronaldo would be this scathing and unapologetic when he announced that he was doing an interview during the preseason and the first two weeks of the season.

Truthfully, I thought he was just going to criticize the hypocrisy and foolishness the media spun about him during the preseason when he had his family emergency, but tiptoe around the issues of United’s facilities and upper management since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

Yet, from the few clips that have been released so far, this interview is something different entirely. And it does not paint a kind picture on the hierarchy of United.

Ronaldo goes after the United board, John Murtough, Richard Arnold, the Glazers, the training facilities, the media pundit, and so many more for the failures of United in the last decade and why his relationship with the United hierarchy has been severed in his 90-minute interview with Piers Morgan.

Saying that the United hierarchy ‘betrayed him’ ‘tried to force him out’ due to him missing the preseason tour (which was down to a family emergency with his daughter) and the arrival of Erik ten Hag as manager, Ronaldo has done something that no other player in recent United history has done: openly criticize the upper management.

Now, I don’t think that he should have said the things he said about ten Hag, such as saying that he ‘doesn’t respect him’, but I completely agree with him over his complaints with the management and training facilities. It’s true that Manchester United has been run into the ground ever since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, and it’s also true that none of the training facilities and equipment have been updated in twenty years.

Out of all of the ‘traditional Top-6’ clubs, United have the worst facilities to train, develop, and practice on. Whether through incompetence, neglect, or ignorance, it’s also true to say that the fault lies at the feet of the Glazers and the people they have hired.

Manchester United was at the pinnacle of the football world just before Joel and Avram Glazer’s father, Malcolm Glazer, bought the club in 2005. Everything about the club, whether it was the on-field performance, training facilities, medical personal, nutrition, youth development, stadium modernization, etc., could compete with all of the greats of Europe at the time, such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, AC Milan, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea.

Now look at it.

Though, the worst thing to come out was that members of the United hierarchy actually doubted Ronaldo when he told them that he needed to stay with his family as his newborn daughter, the very same girl who tragically lost her twin brother a few months ago, during the preseason tour. According to Ronaldo, they thought he was lying just to force a move.

If that’s true, then that’s despicable and reprehensible.

So, I’m fully backing Cristiano Ronaldo as he’s voicing the frustrations of the millions of United fans around the world, though it’s too bad that this will most likely be the reason why he gets pushed out the door. I don’t know how he stays after this comes out. Viva Ronaldo!

Regardless, I’ll come back to this story when the full interview airs Wednesday and Thursday Night on Piers Morgan Uncensored.
