HA! Colts Win In Jeff Saturday’s Debut, Proves Media Clowns WRONG!

I haven’t even rooted for the Patriots to win a game as much as I was for the Colts yesterday. The Indianapolis Colts overcame all of the negativity, criticisms, bile, and disrespect shown to them by clowns in the media as they defeated the Las Vegas Raiders in interim HC Jeff Saturday’s coaching debut.

LET’S GO!!!!! This was such a huge win for the Colts, Saturday, Jim Irsay, all the Colts fans and fans of the kind of man Saturday is, and the NFL world as a whole. Not only did Jeff Saturday unite a dysfunctional, divided locker room and win a huge road game to get the Colts season back on track, but he also proved that coaching ‘experience’ is just as overhyped as Jim Irsay made it out to be.

It takes leadership, compassion, courage, and fortitude to lead men to victory in the NFL, not a decade of sitting in your basement designing intricate crisscrossing plays on a notebook. If the NFL was only about numbers, stats, and play calls, then everyone of the office analytic guys would fill up those 32 coaching roles.

No, like I said, it takes a true leader to galvanize a group of 52 professional men to win in the NFL, which perfectly describes Jeff Saturday.

Despite an overwhelming, uncalled for, and downright cruel amount of criticism from former players, coaches, media pundits (more like media clowns), journalists, and columnists, Jeff Saturday walked into that Colts locker, which he LITERALLY HELPED build back when Lucas Oil Stadium was being built, and inspired the 53 players to give their all and defeat the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

And, boy, did they ever.

Matt Ryan looked like the old ‘Matty Ice’ from his Falcons days as he completed 21/28 passes for 228 yards and 1 touchdown, while he ran for a career high 38 yards on 4 carries. Plus, the Colts receiver finally showed that they are a capable force as three of the core (Parris Campbell, Michael Pittman Jr., Kylen Grayson) had at least 4 catches and 50 yards.

Moreover, Jonathan Taylor looked like the reigning leading rusher of the NFL again as he EXPLODED on the Raiders defense with 22 CAR for 147 yards and 1 touchdown, while the Colts offensive line looked like the warriors that they can be as they crushed the Raiders frontline for 415 total yards of offense.

Yup, the Colts went from producing a measly total of 121 total yards under ‘the media darling’ (which is not meant to be disrespectful to Reich, but to the media) Frank Reich a week ago to now thumping teams for 415 yards of total offense under ‘the disgrace’ Jeff Saturday.

Isn’t irony just perfect?

Anyway, I just don’t understand how clowns like Joe Thomas, Kyle Brandt, and Bill Cowher can truly criticize Jeff Saturday, a natural born, hardworking leader, and make him out to be some sort of Irsay-crony before he even coached a snap in the NFL. Among many others, these three should be ashamed of themselves.

If you want to watch a more scathing take on this situation than I’ve given, then you should check out Pat McAfee and his show. Given how Saturday used to be a beloved teammate of his back during their days with the Colts, he’s obviously going to have more to say about this situation than I do.

But, I’ll just end with this: Jeff Saturday has the same number of wins in one game with the Colts than the ‘great’ Joe Thomas did in his final two season with the Cleveland Browns. Who’s the real disgrace here, Joe?

Let’s go, Colts…from a die-hard Patriots fan!
