Sean Payton Really Has NO CHILL LOL!!!

Well, I agree with him completely, but I didn’t think he would say it so bluntly! Broncos new head coach Sean Payton absolutely BLASTED his own organization and the way the Broncos divulged into chaos and anarchy last season, while also take shots at other teams across the league.

And here I though Sean Payton liked pooting bounties on guys from other teams, not himself and his own team.

Starting off his tenure with the Broncos with a MASSIVE BANG, Sean Payton viciously and hilariously trashed his own organization’s management of last season and even went so far as to personally insult former employees, while also taking a few shots at other franchises around the league. And I love it!

I really didn’t think Sean Payton had it in him to be this ruthless, but, boy, was I wrong as he TOASTED the Denver Broncos for the total failure that was the 2022 NFL season. I’m just going to jump right into his quotes for you all as they’re so funny.

Speaking to USA Today yesterday, Sean Payton said, and I quote, about last season’s Denver Broncos and his expectations for this year’s team, “I’m going to be pissed off if this is not a playoff team…It doesn’t happen often where an NFL team or organization gets embarrassed. And that happened here. Part of it was their own fault, relative to spending so much (expletive) time trying to win the offseason – the PR, the pomp and circumstance, marching people around and all this stuff…

We’re not doing any of that. The Jets did that this year. You watch. ‘Hard Knocks,’ all of it. I can see it coming. Remember when (former Washington owner) Dan Snyder put that Dream Team together? I was at the Giants (in 2000). I was a young coach. I thought, ‘How are we going to compete with them? Deion’s (Sanders) there now.’ That team won eight games or whatever. So, listen…just put the work in…

There’s so much dirt around that. There’s 20 dirty hands, for what was allowed, tolerated in the fricking training rooms, the meeting rooms. The offense. I don’t know Hackett. A lot of people had dirt on their hands. It wasn’t just Russell. He didn’t just flip. He still has it. This B.S. that he hit a wall? Shoot, they couldn’t get a play in. They were 29th in the league in pre-snap penalties on both sides of the ball…

That wasn’t his (Russell Wilson’s) fault. That was the parents who allowed it. That’s not an incrimination on him, but an incrimination on the head coach, the GM (George Paton), the president (Damani Leech) and everybody else who watched it all happen…Everything I heard about last season, we’re doing the opposite…They can only beat the (expletive) out of you so much. But everybody’s got a little stink on their hands. It’s not just Russell. It was a (poor) offensive line. It might have been one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL. That’s how bad it was.”

Everyone from the Broncos front office, offensive line, Nathaniel Hackett and his former Broncos assistant coaches, John Elway, the New York Jets, the Washington Commanders, Dan Snyder, and even Deion Sanders was catching hands from Sean Payton!

Now, I normally don’t put that much of a person’s quote into my own articles as I feel it’s a little cheap to just fluff around the work of someone else and pass it off as your own, but I HAD to show you guys what I meant when I said Payton’s comments were CRAZY!

This might be the most ruthless and funny rage interviews I’ve ever seen an NFL head coach give, which is saying something considering the great rants from Mike Dikta, Herb Edwards, Bill Parcels, Jim Mora, and Dennis Green. Anyways, even though Payton was extremely straightforward with what he said, he really didn’t say too many things I wouldn’t agree with as the Broncos were an utter embarrassment last season.

Not only did Russell Wilson have the worst season of his career by a country mile and lead the 12th worst offense in terms of total yards gained (5,527 yards) and the very worst offense in terms of scoring (287 PTS), but he also was forced to stand behind an offensive line that gave up the most sacks in the league (63) and take play calls from a head coach that oversaw the 2nd most penalties last season (113).

It’s obvious that the Broncos offensive line sucked, the front office was a crapshoot, and Nathainel Hacket was one of the worst head coaches in NFL history (which I did say back when he was still a coach), but I’m just glad someone with as much gravitas and authority as Sean Payton has said it too.

I don’t know why people in the media are so afraid of calling out crap head coaches and teams by name as you’ll never be able to improve if you’re never given honest, truthful feedback. Even if said feedback comes off harsh in the moment.

Nevertheless, the funniest thing about this whole interview is how the New York Jets and the Washington Commanders, two of the most downtrodden teams in the NFL these last twenty years, got completely blasted by Payton for really no reason other than its the Jets and Commanders. I know he was making a point about how teams looking to “win the offseason” don’t usually succeed in the actual regular season, but he didn’t have to call out the Jets and Commanders like that.

Though I’m glad he did as it’s hilarious coaches (I’m sure Payton is not the only one to think this way) in the league think the Jets and Commanders are as crap as we do.

I don’t know if Payton will get his wish for the Broncos being playoff contenders this season, but after this interview, I’m rooting for him 100%!
