The NBA SHOULD BE Pissed Off At Noah Lyles’ STUPID Comments!

What an utter moron this guy is. Noah Lyles, who recently won 3 gold medals for the US track and field team this past world championship, has come under fire for claiming the NBA champions shouldn’t be called “world champions”.

Tell me you don’t watch or know anything about basketball without telling me, Noah.

Despite winning the highest honor any track and field athlete could possibly imagine at the track and field world championships, US athlete Noah Lyles decided it would be best to bask in his win by criticizing and calling out the NBA for claiming that the NBA title winners should not be called “world champions” because the sport mainly takes place in the United States. And, to be perfectly honest, I think this guy is full of shit.

Okay, I don’t want to sound like a jerk or something like that, but what the hell is Noah Lyles talking about? I mean, does he really not understand that the NBA winners are called world champions because THE BEST BASKETBALL PLAYERS IN THE WORLD come to North America, play for the 30 major US and Canadian basketball franchises, and compete for the highest trophy in all of professional basketball in the Larry O’Brien trophy.

I get the premise of what he’s saying as track and field athletes are selected by their nation and compete against other athletes from around the world in major tournaments, such as the track and field world championships and the Olympics, yet basketball and track and field are two VASTLY different sports.

First off, people actually want to watch professional basketball and root for their local sports teams, while watching a track and field event is tantamount to watching paint dry unless Usain Bolt is competing (which he wasn’t as he’s been retired for years now).

Secondly, basketball is a TEAM GAME that requires the best players from around the world to play for a professional team (aka: the 30 NBA franchises) and work together to compete for the highest honors (aka: the Larry O’Brien trophy).

Track and field is solely a one-man/woman sport that doesn’t have an ounce of team building, teamwork, or collective principles in it. Plus, there are no professional track and field leagues as you would need a team of track and field stars all competing against another team of track and field stars for a collective prize…which goes against the foundations of track and field.

So, the only time you see these track and field events is during the Olympics and world championships as those are the events that prioritize individual athletes competing against one another as they represent their nations on the world stage, while you see NBA players facing off against one another for their teams in North America/NBA as that’s the place where the best trophy is competed for.

And that’s the case for every other professional sport, such as the NHL and hockey, the MLB and baseball, the NFL and American football, and the three European competitions for European football.

I mean, his argument is basically saying that the winners of the Champions League, who right now is Manchester City of England, are not the best team in the world because they didn’t face off against Shanghai Port from the Chinese Super League on their road to winning the

Seriously? Is that the argument we’re really having here? The best basketball players all compete with the best teams in the United States just like how the best players in the soccer players all compete on the best European teams in a bid for the most prestigious TEAM trophies.

So, I’m perfectly fine and completely supportive of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, P.J. Tucker, Austin Rivers, Aaron Gordon, De’Aaron Fox, Bam Adebayo, Draymond Green, and Damian Lillard completely destroying this clown in the comment sections of this guy’s post event interview videos. He’s such a buffoon.

PS: And what the hell does he mean he “loves the US at times”? He’s literally living out his dream of being a gold medal track and field runner for his country BECAUSE the US track and field committee selected him to be its representative, and he’s out there saying he only love this country “at times”? This guy should be out there kissing the Statue of Liberty’s feet every morning and night from here until the rest of time for being given the opportunity to run, compete, and earn international fame and glory for the US and himself…just like how every other US Olympic and world championship athlete should be doing too!
