This is getting utterly ridiculous. It’s now being reported that Gal Gadot is NOT COMING BACK as Wonder Woman in James Gunn’s DC Universe, and her Wonder Woman 3 movie is not being developed.
Did DC really hire the two biggest clowns to run the whole show?
Despite saying a few days ago that James Gunn and Peter Safran told her Wonder Woman 3 is being made with her in it, Gal Gadot is now OUT as Wonder Woman according to sources near DC. And, to be honest, I’m getting to the point where I’m done with Warner Bros.’s DC.
James Gunn hasn’t even put out his first DC movie and I’m now already sick of the guy and his management over DC.
For those who don’t know the latest scandal/controversy to come out of DC, Gal Gadot, the former (or maybe current) actress who portrayed Wonder Woman, said in an interview, “I love portraying Wonder Woman. It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together…’We’re going to develop Wonder Woman 3 with you. [We] love you as Wonder Woman— you’ve got nothing to worry about'” when asked about her future in the franchise.
Now, I hope you don’t need me to tell you that keeping Gal Gadot, who is one of the three core figureheads (along with Henry Cavil and Ben Affleck), on as Wonder Woman not only presents MASSIVE continuity problems in terms of storylines and universes being told and managed, but it also ruins any effect of James Gunn’s “DC shakeup”.
Gunn has already released a crap Shazam 2 film (most likely because the lead star is his friend), a pretty poor Flash film (which saw him KEEP Ezra Miller ON as The Flash), he unceremoniously axed Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavil as Superman, and most recently there was reports that he was going to keep Gal Gadot on a Wonder Woman.
It’s just one crap decision after another, which just adds to the rather tame lineup of superhero films he has planned for the beginning of the Gunn DC universe. Anyways, what really has my blood boiling now is that there are sources coming out of DC and Warner Bros. that completely discredits Gal Gadot and denies any production of Wonder Woman 3.
What the actual hell is going on, DC? Why is it so chaotic to reboot a franchise?
This should be the best time for Gunn and his new DC universe as he can mastermind the different stories, characters, and themes he wants to portray on film and television without having the burden of meeting fan expectations ever couple of years as all released and current franchises do.
Yet, he’s completely turning DC into an utter shitshow with awful DCEU releases under his tenure (aka: Shazam 2, The Flash), he’s has seen massive fan backlash for firing Cavil and Affleck yet keeping on Ezra Miller and potentially Gal Gadot, there’s huge continuity issues brewing with some of his creative and casting decision making, the new batch of Gunn DC films are of minor, obscure figures in the DC lore, and now he has major actors in the DCEU coming out and saying HE told them he’s making MORE DCEU FILMS!
It’s a complete MESS!
I’m praying that the reports about Gal Gadot and Wonder Woman 3 are not true and that Gunn’s Superman film is brilliant as his tenure as the head of DC is turning into a complete disaster before our very eyes…which maybe we all should have expected with Warner Bros.
Nearly everything (The Batman and Joker being the exceptions) those fools up in the executive offices have touched with DC has turned into utter crap these last ten years!
