Can you think of a better tattoo that describes Aaron Rodgers than the one he just got? I certainty can’t. It is so confusing, interesting, and “out there” all at the same time that I don’t think Aaron could have picked a more fitting design.
The design itself looks awesome, with the dual heads of a lion surrounded by some sort of astronomy circle and the image of a calm ocean all interacting with one another. And, to top it all off, there is an Illuminati-esque eye near the center of tattoo. Aaron and the tattoo artist couldn’t have designed it any better.
But what does any of it mean? (Probably nothing, but that is no fun to write about)
Now, I’m not a tattoo expert at all, and I’m definitely not an expert into how Aaron Rodgers’ mind operates. But I think I can decode at least three of the symbols (if they even mean anything to Aaron as there is a great possibility he just got the tattoo because he liked how it looked).
The first element I think I understand is the two heads of the lion: one is calm, while the other is roaring. Obviously, Rodgers must see himself as a lion amongst men while he is playing football. So, the calm one is probably a symbol of how Rodgers plays QB, while the roaring one is how he punishes and intimidates opposing defenses in the heat of battle/competition.
The second element, the astronomy symbol, may have something to do with his astronomy sign? I heard he was pretty into astronomy, astrology, and that sort of stuff. Is it obvious I’m grasping for straws at this point?
Okay, and for the final element I think I can decode, the Illuminati eye, I’m guessing that has to do with his mystique. There is constant speculation about Rodgers, his personality, and his future in Green Bay. Just like how people theorize about the Illuminati, maybe he got the eye as a way to link the mystery behind the secret organization to the speculation around himself?
Alright, I think I’ve had my fair share of tattoo decoding. Evidently, I’m awful at it as my predictions are definitely way off.
Fortunately for everyone, I’ll just stick to sports writing from now on.
