If this is true, then some of the biggest secrets in Elden Ring may have just been solved. While listening to some of the Elden Ring theme songs, I came across a fan translated version of the Godskin Apostles OST Theme that exposes Miquella as the biggest undercover villain of the Lands Between.
“Wow. Calm down, James. You’re making a big claim,” you are probably saying. And, yes, I understand that I am. But you haven’t heard Daniel Olmos’ Latin-translated lyrics from the Godskin Apostles song yet.
First, let me congratulate Daniel Olmos (I left a link to his YouTube channel below and hyperlinked it here; you NEED to check it out) for not only being able to translate Latin into English, but also for being able to pick up what the singers in these theme songs were saying. Seriously, I didn’t even realize there was people singing in some of these Elden Ring songs. I thought it was all instrumental.
Anyway, what makes this Godskin Apostles theme song lyrics so impactful to the lord of Elden Ring is that they reveal (explicitly) who Miquella really is. And that would be none other than Saint Trina…aka…the Gloam-Eyed Queen.
“WHATTT!!! There’s no way that FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki hid such an important secret in a song.” Well, if Daniel Olmos’ translations are correct, that’s exactly what they did as at 1:52 of the video, the singers say, “Miquella is Saint Trina (Miquella est Sancta Trina)”. You can’t get it anymore clearer than that.
Now, you don’t need me to tell you how big a revelation that is. The Gloam-eyed Queen, creator of the Godskin Apostles, wielder of the Rune of Death, an Empyrean, and one of Queen Marika’s arch-rivals, reincarnating in Marika’s own prodigal son is a massive lore leak, especially more so considering Miquella’s powers and status.
Being blessed with the ability to “compel affection from others” (i.e.: make them obedient) and a genius mind, Miquella, in his own right, is one of the most powerful demi-gods alive. However, if he was also the reincarnation of the Gloam-eyed Queen (which is heavily suggested), that would also allow him to use the powers of the Black Flame and the Rune of Death too.
A truly all-powerful being with the power to not only slay the demi-gods (with the Black Flame), but also enslave them (with Miquella’s powers of persuasion) is a fearsome villain to the Golden Order indeed.
Furthermore, the song also retold a conversation between Marika and Radagon that revealed it was the Gloam-eyed Queen that “incited a rebellion against Marika”, which must have been the conflict that led to Maliketh defeating the Gloam-eyed Queen and sealing the Rune of Death.
Moreover, with the song later proclaiming that the Godskins “Will Invade The Holy Lands, Unite As One” and that they are “Tireless Hunters, Draped In Pelts of Sacred Skin”, it is clear what Miquella/Gloam-eyed Queen’s true purpose is: to take back the Rune of Death, dethrone Marika and the Golden Order by taking the skins of all of those who serve said order, and restore Miquella/Gloam-eyed Queen to her rightful place.
And, with the Tarnished now in possession of the Rune of Death and recently becoming the Third Elden Lord (whether he/she is married to Marika, Ranni, or is the Lord of Frenzy Flame), I guess that means we are all the only thing left stopping Miquella/Gloam-eyed Queen from her achieving her/his goal.
Am I hearing the sound of a Miquella/Gloam-eyed Queen DLC? I sure hope so.
Nevertheless, I can’t stress this enough: You HAVE to check out Daniel Olmos’ channel. He has translated at least ten Elden Ring theme songs for the major characters (ex: Morgott, Mohg, Praetor Rykard, Queen Rennala, Lord Godfrey, General Radahn, etc.), and there is some massive lore drops in those songs too.
One being that Praetor Rykard may have been more closely linked with the Night of the Black Knives and his sister’s, Lunar Princess Ranni, plan than previously thought. And another being that Mohg was trying to find the Frenzied Flame for himself to stop Miquella from resurrecting into the Gloam-eyed Queen…but failed miserably as Miquella cursed him prior to our meeting with him.
Like I said, you need to check out Daniel Olmos’ channel.
